Edited by W. Walter Menninger, MD

Instructions To Authors

The Bulletin of the Menninger Clinic is a peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary, quarterly journal publishing original articles on psychiatry, psychology, psychoanalysis, neuropsychology, clinical research, and related subjects, as well as clinical reports, brief communications, and book reviews.

Manuscript submission:

A cover letter and four high-quality copies of a typewritten, double-spaced manuscript with a 75-word abstract should be sent to:

    The Managing Editor
    Bulletin of the Menninger Clinic
    P.O. Box 4406
    Topeka, KS 66604-0406
Manuscripts should not exceed 20 pages (including references, tables, etc.); longer papers may be accepted at the discretion of the Editorial Board. Manuscripts should be prepared according to the style described in the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (5th ed., 2001). All manuscripts, including invited papers, are subject to anonymous peer review. Statements and opinions expressed in articles are the responsibility of the authors and do not necessarily reflect those of the editors or Menninger. Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reprint previously published material (e.g., extensive quotations; illustrations such as tables, figures, and charts). All accepted papers are edited to enhance conciseness and clarity and to ensure conformity with journal style. An edited page proof is sent to the corresponding author for review before publication. Authors may purchase reprints at that time. Rejected manuscripts will be destroyed after thirty (30) days.
