Maureen L. WhittalMaureen L. Whittal, PhD, is a private practice psychologist at the Vancouver CBT Centre in Canada. She is also Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Adjunct Faulty in the Department of Psychology at the University of British Columbia, and is on the teaching faculty for the International OCD Foundation. Dr. Whittal has been engaged in clinical and research work in obsessive–compulsive disorder (OCD) since getting her start in 1986 as an undergraduate research assistant for Dr. Jack Rachman. She is a Fellow of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies, the Academy of Cognitive Therapy, and the Canadian Association of Cognitive and Behavioural Therapies, and a former editor of Cognitive and Behavioral Practice. Dr. Whittal provides lectures and workshops on OCD to professionals across North America, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Europe. |
